Description

Marry Me Salmon is an elegant and easy-to-prepare dish featuring tender, flaky salmon in a rich, creamy plant-based sauce bursting with fresh herbs, sun-dried tomatoes, and just the right touch of tang. Perfect for a special dinner or treating yourself, it combines effortless gourmet flair with fast cooking in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon and Seasoning

  • 4 fresh salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless, about 6 oz each)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Creamy Sauce

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup plant-based heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon natural gelling agent
  • Fresh basil, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salmon: Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon skin-side down if using skin-on, and sear for about 4 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes. Remove the salmon and set aside on a warm plate.
  2. Make the Creamy Sauce: Reduce the skillet heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the plant-based heavy cream, then stir in chopped sun-dried tomatoes, vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), apple cider vinegar, and natural gelling agent. Simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and becomes velvety.
  3. Combine and Finish Cooking: Return the salmon to the skillet, nestling each fillet into the creamy sauce. Spoon sauce over the top, cover the pan, and cook for another 3-4 minutes to meld flavors and ensure the salmon is tender.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle fresh chopped basil over the dish, and serve immediately to enjoy the vibrant flavors and silky sauce.

Notes

  • Pick fresh salmon for the best flavor and succulence.
  • Do not overcook salmon; remove when slightly underdone to keep moisture.
  • Use a warm pan to achieve a perfect sear and avoid sticking.
  • Adjust natural gelling agent gradually to control sauce thickness.
  • Have sun-dried tomatoes and garlic pre-chopped to save time during cooking.
