Instructions

  2. Cook the smoked turkey bacon: While the chili warms, crisp the smoked turkey bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat. Once fully cooked, chop them into small pieces to scatter throughout the salad later.
  3. Prepare fresh veggies and plant-based cheese: Rinse and chop the lettuce or mixed greens, halve the cherry tomatoes, thinly slice the red onion, shred the carrots, and slice the avocado just before assembling. Grate or shred the plant-based cheese so it melts easily over the warm chili.
